A Prayer to Our Humanity

A Prayer for Our Humanity - Radical Trekking - Ayelet Baron

I wrote a different post for today and but I felt a deep need to write this prayer for us. Witnessing the state of humanity this morning with our division, hate and war, I want to offer this to each of us, in the words of Hannah Senesh

“May there be no end
To the … Sea, to the sand,
Splash of the water,
Glow of the sky,
Prayer of man”

“In my life’s chain of events nothing was accidental. Everything happened according to an inner need … I could have been 23 next July I gambled on what mattered most, the dice were cast. I lost.”

But Hannah continues to show us that we are here as creators of a humbled and healthy world where we can grow old together.

For everyone who was lost yesterday, today and tomorrow … “There are stars whose radiance is visible on Earth though they have long been extinct. There are people whose brilliance continues to light the world even though they are no longer among the living. These lights are particularly bright when the night is dark. They light the way for humankind.”― Hannah Senesh, Her Life and Diary

Hug someone you love today. Listen to them like you’ve never listened before. Our world needs more unity and love right now, and action speaks louder than words. We’ve all experienced hate and distress. It’s time to also experience true love between people and nations.

Another way exists. Create the bridges only you can create. Become fully aware of your own power to navigate. Division exists by design, not by necessity. We’re all more similar than different when we live in our hearts. Love isn’t just a feeling; it’s an action. So let’s not just say we love, but show it through what we do.

“It’s difficult in times like these: ideals, dreams and cherished hopes rise within us, only to be crushed by grim reality. It’s a wonder I haven’t abandoned all my ideals, they seem so absurd and impractical. Yet I cling to them because I still believe, in spite of everything, that people are truly good at heart.”―Anne Frank
