Each of us has an ancestor who came before us. And when we know them, the inheritance we may receive is not only monetary. Maybe we are also inheriting a lineage of trauma, persecution, bodily disregard and suppression of freedom?
There is a great deal of pain and suffering on our planet right now. But consider this question: What if by facing our pain and dis-ease, we can let go of fear and past traumas that we inherited?
This why wellbeing is so important right now as we learn to take impeccable care of our bodies and our whole selves.
So many are caught up in safety, predictability and having the answers as fear of the unknown is rampant. But isn’t it funny when we think of control? Maybe this need to control everything is actually making us ill?
The stress of needing to understand everything out of fear is unhealthy. Maybe we are here to explore the mystery of everything? And laugh deeply when things don’t go the way we expected them?
As more of us become conscious that our food is laden with toxins, we are also becoming aware that we need access to pure soil, food, beliefs, water and air. It is a package deal and why being whole is foundational right now.
Pain and dis-ease are breadcrumbs to deeper issues. One of the paths that is available to us is making discerning choices. Perhaps instead of needing to control and solve everything, we can allow ourselves to be who we are?
We each face situations where we feel we have no control or don’t understand why something is happening to us. It is part of our deep programming that there are villains and victims. And while facing horrible situations, we may have a lineage of people who have stepped into both roles. But what if instead of continuing on this trajectory, it is solely up to us to author new stories? Why? Because we can!
Our linear thinking doesn’t fit into our reality because life itself isn’t linear. When we stop judging ourselves harshly and see opportunities instead of problems and challenges, we allow ourselves to simply breath.
No one is going to free us from our prison of the mind. When we become aware of where we are enslaved by fear, systems or beliefs, we can free ourselves from the shackles.
And there are 560 million people around the globe who have heard this calling and are pioneering what we need now. It’s amazing to be curious enough to explore what has yet to be revealed.
Poet Mary Oliver asks, “And that is just the point… how the world, moist and beautiful, calls to each of us to make a new and serious response. That’s the big question, the one the world throws at you every morning. “Here you are, alive. Would you like to make a comment?”
