Can we come out of the box, breaking free from conventional thinking, and embracing fresh perspectives? There is no time for complacency. It’s up to us to dig out of the darkness.
“The tragedy of life is often not in our failure, but rather in our complacency; not in our doing too much, but rather in our doing too little; not in our living above our ability, but rather in our living below our capacities.”―Benjamin E. Mays
In our healthier world, we understand that sticking to old ways keeps causing the same problems. To stop this cycle, we’re willing to step out of our comfort zones and imagine new realities.
Picture a regular school system. Many people are hesitant to change because it’s what they’re used to. But a group of teachers and parents get it by seeing that the current system isn’t getting students ready for the future. So, instead of just going along with the usual way of doing things, they create a new way of learning.
This new approach includes learning by doing, making the lessons fit each student, and really focusing on keeping our minds and feelings healthy. Changing from the old way might seem scary at first. But it has the promise of helping people who are ready for the healthy world.
Now, imagine a world where we all know what’s healthy for our well-being in different parts of life, like school, government, business, nature, health, and more. In this world, change isn’t something to be afraid of; it’s just a natural part of moving forward.
In this world, we don’t run away from change; we go after it. We think up new and healthy ideas and work together to make them happen. By doing this, we get past the old problems and make a future that lines up with what we now know is healthy for our well-being. No one sets our agenda for us.
So, are we ready to have the courage to create? Because that’s how we really make our world healthier, and more fulfilling for everyone.
Maybe there is no way out of the box when we break free from the constraints of boxes altogether. Making a mental shift is up to each of us. It changes everything.
