Listening to the Whispers of Your Heart Leads to Self-Love
When it comes to healing during this global pandemic, the biggest gift you can give yourself is love — self-love. The external world will try to convince us that healing only takes place when we are ill or facing a major disease, but true healing is about loving all of ourselves. Everything can work out when we allow the universe to point us in the direction of what needs our attention inside ourselves.
When we enter higher levels of awareness, we can move through our fears of anything, including the pandemic, by not only understanding the root of our fear but starting to address them at our own pace. We have been taught to face our fears but that assumes that all our fears are rational and visible, which is not the case with many of us.
Everything Can Change in A Heartbeat
When we are ready to truly let go of what no longer serves us in the present moment, we become aware that we are more than able to author healthy stories. Take a moment to sit with your natural ability to heal and ask yourself:
- What is it that I fear?
- What hurt feelings or past injustices am I hanging on to, and why? Why am I bringing them with me, everywhere I go?
- What are worn-out patterns of behaviors am I dragging around?
- If I feel stress, where does it originate? What’s in my control and what is out of my control?
Like anything in life, it takes practice to get to the radical (root) source of why we show up as we do. We can’t make an excellent meal and then declare we are ready to be a chef at a Michelin star restaurant. This is not necessarily something that one masters immediately. It is a continual evolutionary process of self-love and healing, and you will be given many opportunities to see life through new eyes of love.
When we begin to listen to the whispers of our hearts on a regular basis, it can be challenging to tune out the chatter of the world around us about how we should be living our lives. But 2022 is the year of choice and discernment so you can either ignore them or choose to stop and listen. That’s when the healing begins as it allows us to let go and trek into the unknown.
The answers are within, as are the questions. And it’s personal. There is no formula or best practice to adopt; just a lifetime of learning and flow. What do you imagine is possible for you?
