Forecast for September 2022
While August was about expecting the unexpected, September 2022 is a time of renewal. We continue with focusing on choices and discernment by becoming aware of the need to let go of unhealthy habits, beliefs and situations. This is a wonderful opportunity to experiment and test ourselves. A time to see what we are made of and reap what we have sown so we can create what we need.
Delia Owens, in Where the Crawdads Sing, shares “Autumn leaves don’t fall, they fly. They take their time and wander on this their only chance to soar.” We have an opportunity in September 2022 to let go and clear away the dead wood–like the leaves—we transform them back to the earth. In the same manner, we transform the energy within us.
Letting go of restrictive systems, stories and beliefs can be a struggle, as some of us still feel the need to manage change and have control over the direction we are headed. But deep change, the sort that is needed today, is not easily controlled. We cannot control or manage a huge wave when we’re surfing the ocean—we have to ride the wave and go with its flow.
September 2022 is Preparing Us For Shifts
This Fall season may be a bumpy one in our external world so this month allows us to prepare for upcoming storms and changes in our world. Some of us will feel we are doing too much and need to slow down a bit and rest. And some of us will experience a need to do more to make foundational shifts we need in our own lives and society.
We are experiencing an increase in external shits that may be surprising. For example, how can the world’s largest password management system recently be breached? It might be cybersecurity now but we will be witnessing our sense of safety being tested. How we react to events in September 2022 is entirely our choice. Just know that a huge purge is quietly occurring all over the world. And it’s totally up to us to be what we want to see unfold in our world.
Instead of feeling overwhelmed and defeated by the external uncertainty, we can choose to recognize what is in our control and slowly step into our power.
How We Influence Our Environment
September 2022 allows us to align our minds with our hearts. By making space and clearing limiting beliefs that no longer serve us, for example, we make space for healthy ideas that spark our creativity. And let’s not forget to harvest what we planted in our garden of intentions.
It is also opportunity to get our garden ready for the next season. We are learning to follow our own heartbeat more than meeting external expectations of how our lives should be.
This is what trekking into the unknown is all about, when we trust our heart. We are able to experiment, gain insights and abilities to navigate uncertainty without judging ourselves too harshly. We simply expect the unexpected.
The stability we will have in September 2022 is the one we create by being grounded in the Earth. Our physical reality is calling us to take impeccable care of our bodies.
The last few years have been beyond transformational and have shaken some of us to the core. We have made changes and know how to change when external circumstance become unpredictable.
But some of us are increasingly aware that what we believed is true can shift in a blink of an eye. And the inspiring fact is that we may have a renewed understanding that trusts starts with us.
Standing at the Crossroads
It is our choices that help us open doors to healthy living by closing ones that lead nowhere. As we peel our own onion, we let go of layers of conditioning. We become more aware of the need to take care of ourselves and our communities. This is a time of personal new beginnings fueled with hope, meaning and vision.
There is no recipe for September 2022, just questions to consider, and please add your own:
- What do I desire to simplify, declutter or let go?
- What am I walking towards?
- What and who do I need to pay attention to and what are distractions that no longer feed me?
- What does renewal look like for me? Where do I begin?
In the last quarter of 2022, what choices are you making that free you?
In The Autumn, Elizabeth Barrett Browning writes,
“Go, sit upon the lofty hill
And turn your eyes around
Where waving woods and waters wild
Do hymn an autumn sound
The summer sun is faint on them
The summer flowers depart
Sit still— as all transform’d to stone
Except your musing heart.”
