Do You Have A Need to Take Action?
These are some of the most exciting times in history, despite the news reports. First of all, because we’re all here right now. And second of all, because we are each being called to take action. The words, the inspiration, the debates, the intentions are no longer enough. And there is no one else apart from each of us that can act in whatever way we choose in harmony with the Universe.
This is a time when we can choose to step out of the cave. And when we do, we can thank everyone who came before us for creating the systems, institutions, beliefs, norms and practices we inherited and say okay, what is it that I truly need myself? What have I come here to create and what do I need to gift future generations?
This is why 2022 is the year of choices and discernment: awareness means that we can no longer afford to stick our heads in the sand and pretend that anything is normal.
Haven’t We Already Started?
The way we are living our life today is very different than how people lived just twenty years ago—and for some of us, it’s also very different than how we lived just two years ago! We now know that we are able to experience things that not that long ago seemed strange and mysterious.
Today, there are many of us who are feeling stuck; reacting to whatever is happening around us. In this scenario, we unconsciously give our power of how the world should be over to someone else or some story someone else created. It’s a choice of trusting someone else over ourselves and our own inner knowing.
When we accept whatever is causing us pain or suffering as our way of life, we are simply fueling it with more of the same energy. If we do anything at all this year, it’s become aware that we have choices and then practice discernment—awareness, understanding and action—of what is healthy and unhealthy for your wellbeing. We have an incredible opportunity to get grounded and real. And we each have a part to play.
Awareness in Action
Once we are aware that there is another way, we have options in how we live, we cannot not know. And how we choose to take action in our lives is part of our own transformation. With a deep sense of awareness, we touch not only our lives but those around us. Have you ever been around someone who sees doom and gloom everywhere? How does it make you feel to spend time around this energy? Are you aware of how that state of mind influences your own wellbeing?
What being curious means is allowing ourselves to be in a state of not knowing, and opening ourselves to possibilities, especially when it comes to everything around us. There is so much that is revealed to us when we become truly curious. And we also unleash new truths when we do. You see, once we are aware of something, we cannot not know it, no matter how much we try to ignore it or suppress it.
So what is it that you need and how can you take action—from taking a walk, starting a conversation, pausing and taking a breath, examining your practices, and how you make choices—not for saving someone else, not for some big idea that will make you only financially wealthy—but things that are connected to your way of life on our beautiful planet?
Albert Einstein shares,
“The ideals that have lighted my way, and time after time have given me new courage to face life cheerfully, have been Kindness, Beauty, and Truth”
