Can You See Something in Yourself that Wasn’t Here Before?

Something in Yourself? - Radical Trekking - Ayelet Baron

Seeing Something in Yourself

Don Proctor shares this wisdom: “If you read a book the 2nd time, you don’t see something in it you didn’t see before, you see something in yourself that wasn’t there before.”

This is why whether you have read the letter (below) written by Clarissa Pinkola Estes, American poet, post-trauma specialist and Jungian psychoanalyst, author of Women Who Run With the Wolves, before or not, the question is can you see something in yourself that wasn’t there before?

Her words reminded me how important it is to trek into the unknown and let go of limiting beliefs around safety: “I hope you will write this on your wall: When a great ship is in harbor and moored, it is safe, there can be no doubt. But that is not what great ships are built for.”

We Were Made for These Times

Here is her open letter to our hearts as the external world continues on its trek, while each of us can make healthy choices for ourselves and then each other.
